Samoa Weather

Weather Satellite Map and Loop

Samoa is located north of the Kingdom of Tonga, and south-east of Fiji. Being in the tropical band between the Equator and the Tropic of Capricorn, it enjoys a typical southern hemisphere tropical climate with marine influence. This means that summers are hotter and more humid and occur between the months of November and March. Winters are still warm, but not as hot and not as humid, falling between the months of April to October. The weather loop on the right is generated by Fiji's meteorological office in Nadi and shows the whole region's current weather influences.

Temperatures have moderate variances through the year and through the day. The temperature range is approximately 18 degrees C to 30 degrees C, with the hotter temperatures in the November to March period. The cooler time of the year occurs between April and October. A more pleasant temperature range in the winter and less chance of rain and high humidity levels makes this the peak tourist season. Refreshing breezes come from the south-east.

Rainfall is highest in the summer months of November to March, with winds coming from the north-west.
